About This Quote

They call him Aslan in That Place" is a children's story, "The Horse and His Boy" by C.S. Lewis. In the story, Eustace is told that Aslan is the name of the lion, who is king of all animals. The name was given to him because he thinks he is the only lion left in the world after the others have been killed.

Aslan appears to be a normal lion until Eustace notices that there are two stars on his forehead. They start to shine even brighter than the stars of night, so Eustace asks his mother what they are. She tells him that they are called "the eyes of Aslan".

Then Eustace realizes what "Aslan in That Place" means, and he calls Aslan by his proper name, "Lion", which everyone else calls him by.
